How Can I Help?

There are many volunteer opportunities. With positions to suit almost any interest and time availability, you can volunteer in a number of positions. If you belong to a social club, work group or fraternal organization, you can organize a fundraising drive, volunteer as a team, or invite a representative of The Dukes Foundation to speak to your group.

We need a lot of help:

  • Have any time on weekdays or weekend? Join our Team. Community volunteers are needed for special events.
  • You can assist in our operations, fundraising, transportation and several other.

Special Volunteer Needs

At times we special volunteer projects to offer. Currently, we are looking for Capital Campaign Coordinators to assist us with preparing for our 10th Anniversary fundraising event.

When Can I Help?

The Dukes Foundation welcomes your help when it’s most convenient for you. We offer a variety of options to fit your busy schedule.

What If I Don’t Have Time to Volunteer?

No time? There is still plenty you can do to help with our Youth!
Invite us to speak to the next meeting of your social club, work group or fraternal organization. This raises awareness and educates friends and colleagues about Mentoring. To contact us about a speaker, please contact dukesfoundation@dukesfoundation.org

Other Ways to Help

Supporting Youth Mentoring is rewarding!

  • Ask your family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and anyone else you know to donate.
  • Sell tickets for 10th Anniversary Gala.
  • Host a special event.
  • Hold a raffle. See if anyone is willing to donate items for a raffle.

Explain to your donors that:

  • Every donation enables us to develop better communities.
  • Build a more equipped workforce.
  • Reduce crime.

Give Stock or Other Securities

 Gifts of stock, bonds and mutual funds can allow you to support Youth Mentoring while realizing significant tax benefits such as avoiding capital gain taxes.

In order to complete a donation of securities, please complete BOTH steps below:

STEP 1—Contact your broker to transfer your shares.

STEP 2—Notify us of your donation

Due to privacy concerns, your bank will not tell us that you have made a stock donation. In order for us to send your tax receipt letter in a timely fashion and confirm that your stock was transferred, you must notify us of your donation.
