Mentees Accomplishments

  • 1 Graduated from Morehouse Cum Laude and top GPA in Dept. of Math & Physics
  • James Atkins graduated from South Atlanta school of Animation & Computer Design as Gates Millennium Scholar with 3.9 GPA earned $1.5 Million in Scholarship
  • The late Justin Bonner graduated from The New Alonzo Crim High School 2012
  • 75% of Mentees are in the top 10 percent of their Class Performance level
  • 15,000 average community service hours served per cohort
  • $6000 raised for cancer awareness and prevention

Mentee Enrollment

  • 90 Mentees served ( Due to transportation and other constraints attendance is rotated at cultural events and mentoring sessions are done in two groups)

  • Malibu Entertainment Complex outing for Mentees
  • Coan Park Cook out event to recognize Mentees achievements

  • Atlanta Dream WNBA Game attended by Mentees
  • Regions Bank held a ceremony to certify 27 Mentees who participated in a 9 module, 2 month Financial Literacy Certification Program

Mentees Community Service

  • Cancer Research Support Fundraising $2,300 Raised
  • Teddy Bears and Toys collected and donated to Homeless Shelter
  • Stuffed Animals and Toys Collected and donated to 4 Children’s Hospital Campuses

Passing and Burial of Former Mentee

  • One of our Mentees, Justin Bonner succumbed to cancer. Members of the Board of Directors and Board of Advisors made financial contribution to his burial. We are grateful for their contribution. Special thanks to Dr. Carole Williams, a Member of the Board of Advisors and the Carl Williams Funeral Home and Riverdale Florists.
